Last week, we introduced a new series called, “How Does God Speak To Us?” We were talking about some pretty heavy stuff (God’s will). So, I did what any self-respecting, Bible-preaching pastor would do. I asked my son to help me. I interviewed him about stocks, which truck to buy, the Super Bowl, and a […]
It’s my pleasure to make a big announcement about something big happening in June!
We opened our service up with this last week, because we like to make our announcements fun. So here ya go! Happy Hump Day!
We had an incredible year at Beach Camp! The services were great, several students made decisions for Christ, God moved in big ways, and our group really grew closer together! Here’s a little glimpse at what it looked like.
I’m willing to do dumb stuff to help teach a point; especially if it makes it enjoyable and memorable. This might take the cake. We just finished a teaching series called “Copycat,” in which we talked about what it looks like to imitate Christ. We talked pretty explicitly about how imitating Christ isn’t the same […]
This year, our church is doing something I’m pretty proud of. We put a challenge out in front of our people to love on people throughout the month of December. I actually got the idea from those stupid Instagram ‘photo-a-day’ things (Did I mention that I think they’re stupid?). The idea here is not to […]
Unnecessarily long title. I know. But it fits with the absurdity of the series. This is the finale to the Ten10 Batman Trilogy. Here goes nothin’.
This is the first installment of a three-part series of Batman films. They’re even better than Nolan’s (I know, right?!). OK. Maybe not. Seriously, though, these films go along with our new series, “The Masks We Wear.” We had fun making them and our students cracked up, so it’s a huge win for us! Huge […]
Next week, we kick off a series called, “The Masks We Wear.” I’ve been pretty pumped about this because…well…it meant we got to make this. A three-part adventure is to follow!
Every year, our student ministry takes a trip together in the fall. It’s not based on scary stuff, but we always use a “horror film” type approach to promo it (it’s not a great idea, but it is REALLY fun to watch the kids scream when they see it!). Here’s this year’s promo.
